Thanksgiving
I know that we don’t celebrate the holiday Thanksgiving like they do in the United States. Here in Australia, some have adopted the tradition and had their version of an “Aussie” Thanksgiving.
While we don’t normally celebrate this old tradition, I thought it would be good to reflect on what I’m thankful for this year (long pause…..). If we’re going to be honest with ourselves, 2020 has been difficult. It has been an oppressive time for many of us.
This global pandemic has caused so much fear and anxiety. People have been isolated due to imposed lockdowns, businesses shut and lives lost.
It was definitely a challenging season but I also saw different layers slowly peeled off within myself. The truth of who I am, and who I belong to reminded me to focus on what matters most….

We are all loved. The simplicity that is in the good news of Jesus shifted my mindset to go back to basics and simplify our lives the best way we can. I’ve learned where to cut back and discovered what I can live without. I’ve learned to slow down so I can breathe, reflect, spend time with God and my husband.
Today I’m forever grateful for the greatest love of all, His work on the cross. I’m also thankful for the love shared among my family, friends, and those who support Ilana Atelier.
Thank you for being part of this little community and being part of making a difference in the lives of many women.
Much love,
Marga
